In the wake of the apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner, the entire Republican machine has erupted with demands that we…wait, this can’t be right... build a ballroom?
Yes, this near-tragedy is being immediately transformed into a propaganda and public pressure campaign to convince federal judges to allow Trump to build his $400 million dream ballroom…which just so happens to also be a fortified bunker.
So let’s get this straight. Something bad nearly happens to Trump, and it’s immediately met with political action. But the American people have to suffer through hundreds and hundreds of mass shootings every year with nary a peep from Trump or the Republican Party?
Tell Trump: Don't build a ballroom, PASS GUN REFORM!
There was a mass shooting at a car rally in Maryland three days after the WHCD incident that left one dead and six injured. There was another mass shooting the week before at the Mall of Louisiana, leaving one dead and five injured. The week before that, a man killed eight children — nearly his entire family — in yet another tragic mass shooting.
So far in 2026, there have been 128 mass shootings and over 4,000 gun-violence deaths. Donald Trump is not the only American to be threatened by gun violence, but he will be the only one who benefits from a ballroom.
Tell the president: don’t build a ballroom. Pass real, meaningful gun reform so that ALL of us can rest safely, not just you and your rich cronies!
