Tell federal agencies to stop targeting Democrats who stand up to Donald Trump!
Since returning to power in 2025, Donald Trump and the sycophants in his Cabinet have used the full weight of their agencies to target the president’s political opponents and critics alike. Prosecutors have already gone after New York state Attorney General Letitia James, former FBI Director James Comey (twice!), and Trump’s own former national security adviser, John Bolton, on a variety of dubious charges. And in October — just weeks before an election in which she is on the ballot — federal agents raided the home of Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar under the pretext of an immigration-fraud probe stretching back more than 25 years. Omar, who has served in Congress since 2019, became a US citizen in 2000 when she was 17 years old. An outspoken critic of Trump, she has long been singled out by the MAGA cult leader but interestingly never charged with any crime.

Trump has attacked Omar by name for years, launching one xenophobic and downright racist broadside after another, and loyalists like Department of Homeland Security Sec. Markwayne Mullin have vowed to “go after” her long before agents came knocking in October.
When the targets of federal investigations are hand-selected by Donald Trump himself, that isn’t judicious law enforcement, it’s naked political revenge. The people entrusted with running the Justice Department and Dept. of Homeland Security must abide by the Constitution and the rule of law, not placate and appease the insatiable demands of a malcontent commander-in-chief obsessed with personal vendettas. Donald’s goons at the DOJ and DHS must put an end to investigations driven by political animus and come clean with Congress and the public about why Rep. Omar was targeted weeks before the midterms.
