Shut down ICE’s concentration camps!
The for-profit detention centers run by ICE are disgusting, dangerous death traps that have killed over 50 people since the beginning of Trump’s second term.
Recently, four people were sickened by gas leak and denied medical care at a Mississippi ICE camp; the rest of the inmates had no air conditioning in the sweltering heat of summer.
There’s a tuberculosis outbreak at another camp – for they are concentration camps – in Colorado. These echo the horrifying conditions reported in ICE camps around the country.
Shut down ICE’s concentration camps!
“Conditions were bad enough for people to lose their pregnancies. They were bad enough to start a lice infestation, to have a strain of flu that has been going around untreated. That’s what got people to strike,” said an organizer after hunger strikes broke out at the Delaney Hall ICE center.
These companies are pocketing billions of taxpayer dollars while forcing innocent immigrants to live in dangerous squalor. It’s time to rethink our entire immigration enforcement system, because this is unacceptable.
