Tell Trump's border czar: No ICE "surge" in New York City!
Donald Trump's so-called “border czar,” Tom Homan, has announced plans to send "more ICE agents than you’ve ever seen” to New York City to needlessly terrorize the 19.3 million residents of the largest metropolitan area in the country.
Homan openly admitted the imminent operation was in retaliation for Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul signing legislation in May limiting state and local law enforcement’s cooperation with ICE and other Trump immigration authorities. The curiously timed threat also comes just days before MILLIONS of soccer fans from all over the world descend on the United States for the 2026 World Cup. Eight matches — including the final — will be played directly across the Hudson River at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. An ICE "surge" in New York City won't just unleash cruelty and chaos on the people who call the Big Apple home; it will do grievous harm to the city's reputation as a welcoming international gathering place for millions of people from around the world.

To be clear: this isn't peaceful law enforcement. This is white-supremacist-fueled vengeance aimed at a city and state daring to protect its residents from warrantless sweeps and institutionalized terror. New Yorkers — citizens and immigrants alike — deserve to live without the constant fear of poorly trained, unaccountable, heavily armed goons descending on their schools, hospitals, parks, and neighborhoods at a moment's notice.
As we’ve unfortunately already seen in Chicago, Portland, and Minneapolis — where ICE goons murdered two Americans in broad daylight with total impunity — Trump’s brute squad brings carnage and turmoil everywhere it goes. Mass enforcement operations don't make communities safer — they destroy trust, separate families, and terrorize innocent people just trying to live their lives in peace.
