Demand GOP Rep. Max Miller resign over domestic abuse allegations!
Republican Rep. Max Miller of Ohio has been credibly accused of disturbing physical abuse by his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, in just the latest scandal to rock the House of Representatives. According to recently uncovered court filings, Moreno, the daughter of Ohio Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno, accused her ex-husband of "dangerous physical behavior," including beating her in front of their two-year-old daughter in February. This isn't the first serious allegation Moreno has made against Miller, who it should be noted, has Donald Trump's "Complete and Total Endorsement" and is seeking reelection in November. In June 2024, Moreno accused Miller of throwing a pot of boiling water at her, also in front of their daughter.

Miller is no stranger to controversy. In 2020, former Trump White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham accused Miller of throwing her against a wall and slapping her after she accused him of cheating on her.
In a sign of how acrimonious and messy the entire affair has become, Miller has denied any wrongdoing and is publicly blaming his ex-father-in-law and colleague Sen. Moreno for enabling his daughter's "malicious campaign to ruin [his] life despite his knowledge of her mental health issues."
Miller will have his day in court, but the pattern of behavior here is hard to ignore and casts a further pall on the House of Representatives, which seems to have no shortage of misconduct scandals these days. For the good of the chamber, and for the constituents of Ohio's 7th District, Rep. Miller should step down and end his campaign for reelection. It's abundantly clear his own house isn't anywhere near in order.
