The sadistic, racist goons in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency have just killed a second person in less than a week.
Joan Sebastian Guerrero, who was legally authorized to be in the country, was gunned down by an ICE agent in Maine in front of his wife and three-year-old child for no reason other than he wouldn’t stop to be brutalized by ICE and thrown into one of their squalid, abusive prisons without cause.
Late last week, an ICE agent murdered Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Texas and falsely claimed that his victim had been trying to run him over — which video proved was entirely false, just as the same accusations against Minneapolis ICE murder victim Renee Good were. Trump's immigration brute squad has shot 11 people dead. Another 52 people have died in their gulags. Enough is enough.
Abolish ICE!
There is no reforming this. For two years we have watched ICE behave with shocking impunity, acting like Gestapo agents who are somehow above the law. They kill whenever they feel like it, they treat American citizens and legal residents with horrific brutality, and they violate our civil rights on a daily basis.
No amount of “training” or body cams or institutional reforms can fix this. This agency was born of bigotry in the days after 9/11 by the Bush administration and should be fully dismantled. Furthermore, everyone involved in carrying out or rubber-stamping the endless litany of illegal acts committed by the agency should be prosecuted.
Abolish ICE!
